Bangladesh has a population of 140 million hard working people. The majority of Bangladeshis live in rural areas without modern amenities and infrastructure. You will be impressed to see their everyday struggles. People in the rural areas, work hard from dawn to dusk to earn a respectable living. Tourists will find the simplicity of rural life to be peaceful and serene.

Hundreds of rivers and thousands of canals running through the country keep our green fields lush and fertile and the land, in turn, supports the livelihood of 60% of the population. The rivers are home to a wide variety of the tropical fishes.

For the last couple of years the country has been self sufficient in producing our own food (Rice). In the villages, every household produces something of their daily needs.

Bangladesh is known for its variety of tropical fruits such as mangoes, guavas, papaya and grapefruits. The weather from October to March is comfortable and the rest of the year, the land is vibrant with greenery. Rural Bangladesh is wonderful during Monsoon.

Besides, as a destination, Bangladesh has excellent tourist attractions, which include archeological sites, historic monuments, temples, mosques and churches, tea gardens, enchanting sea beaches and the largest mangrove forest in the World – The Sundorban and its wildlife.

Bangladesh is a secular nation where ethnicities and dialects vary tremendously from region to region. In good and bad times, our social customs, traditions and values keep this nation united and strong.
